Our Mission

The mission of Covenant Keepers is to provide an academically rigorous college preparatory program for all students and attract a diverse student population while instilling the habits of tolerance, thoughtful debate, and civic involvement.  Hard work must be taught, exercised, and owned daily in order to become habitual.  Only with a critical mass of college educated citizens can valuable and systemic change in our inner-city neighborhoods occur.  CK will be giving hope to inner-city families who understand that education is the passport to a better tomorrow. More importantly, by combining rigorous academics with a spirit of civic duty and responsibility, CK College Preparatory Charter School students will return to their community as civic-minded intellectuals armed with a college degree and a desire to create positive social change.  Over time, CK will transform the educational expectations of the community in which it serves thus servicing as a national model for excellence in urban education.
